What are the objectives that the Japanese team has to destroy beside the hangar and the airstrip on the smaller island?
Or does only one carrier has to survive in order to win?

And here is the extract from changelog, seems like there is another way to win this map.:
"The game mode has been changed to Objective. Japanese troops have to destroy either airfield/hangers or three reinforcement American carriers in order to win."

Just to summarize, this is what you can do as the axis team:

Main objectives (Mandatory):
  • Destroy either the runway or the hangars which causes the US' tickets to drop by half.

  • Sink the three USN aircraft carriers, which spawn in after one of the ground installations is destroyed.

Side objectives (Obtional):
  • Destroy the other ground installation, which does not affect the ticket count, but causes the enemy to no longer be able to spawn there, effectively disabling an island from being usable. This is especially helpful if you only destroyed the hangar, as also destroying the airfield prevents the enemy team from having access to better aircraft than those available on their aircraft carriers.

Notes:
  • The runway system is one hitbox for the all three runways, and takes 8x 800 kg bombs to destroy, or 32x 250 kg bombs, it does not matter where you hit on the runway, as long as you do hit the runway. There is no visible destruction event for the runway, the enemy simply no longer is able to spawn there once it is destroyed. Although you can be sure of it's destruction if you have counted 8x 800 kg bomb hits or 32x 250 kg bomb hits. You can check the whether the airbase is still intact by swapping teams and seeing if there still is a spawn option for that base. Illustrated in Fig. A, hidden in spoiler, red is where you need to hit it.




  • The hangar is one hitbox, and takes 4x 800 kg bombs or 16x 250 kg bombs to destroy. In Fig. B, red is where you want to hit it.



  • Destroying a ground installation makes it impossible for players to spawn at the given ground installation, so even if you have already destroyed one base, there is still value in destroying the other one

  • After destroying either the hangar or runway, you can proceed to sink the carriers, they alternate between spawning at two different locations, one is near the center, east of the map (C-5) which is just north of the airbase, and the other is center south, west of the airbuse (E-3, or you can take out the other ground installation, and prevent the enemy from spawning there. Remember to count how many times you hit it using the aforementioned damage scale necessary to destroy each one. There is no visible destruction animation for the runway, so as long as you have dropped 8x 800 kg bombs or 32 x 250 kg bombs into it, you are fine.

  • Each USN Yorktown Class (listed as Enterprise) aircraft carrier can be sunk by 3x 800 kg bombs, or 12x 250 kg bombs. In total, you need 9x 800 kg bombs, or 36x 250 kg bombs to sink all three aircraft carriers.
