Nice event on the weekend! smile

So, are we gonna have an infantry event as next?

    Which maps?
    ...Battle of Pavlov
    Chartres
    Arnhem
    Battle of Edsons Ridge
    Battle of Foy
    Battle of Luzon
    Battle of Stalingrad
    Kiew
    Pegasus
    Raseiniai
    Stalingrad Redsquare...

    Others?

    Quid pro quo!

There is my suggestion with SSM notes. The list is opened though:

Chartres (only if we threw out 1 or 2 flags. I mean to concentrate more of action around the control points)
Arnhem (German armoured forces should be limited! Perhabs should we reduce the control points as well?)
    Battle of Pavlov
    Battle of Foy
Battle of Stalingrad (heavy howitzers can't resupply the ammo afaik, correct me if I'm wrong)
Berlin Streets (Maus bunker is a 'no no')
    Karelia
    Raseiniai

    Hers some more suggestions
FHT Kohima -it's a urban city map in the pacific (may not be too good)
    eastern blitz
    bizerte?
    tunis (might be too big)
a French urban map (if there is one)
    and Warsaw Uprising.

@Mr J: Chartres is fine imo if we have the regular 20 players but also a bit overplayed. Arnhem is tricky and I agree that the Germans have a bit too many tanks, maybe we should also delete the most northern flag.

@Hypilot: We played Kohima and some didn't like it (I find it good though). Eastern Blitz isn't that infantry focused, it also has planes and several tanks. I looked at Tunis again and it has "only" 4 flags which could work, I've never played on it in the 2 years on this server so I can't really say. Warsaw is a good map but also very messy because of all the flags and hidden spawn points.

Warsaw uprising is good for the Polish but the germans have better handweapons .also ithink you can locate and destroy a few sewer exits.

Looks like we will have a two-days-event.

    1. Battle of Pavlov
    2. Chartres
    3. Arnhem
    4. Battle of Edsons Ridge
    5. Battle of Foy
    6. Battle of Luzon
    7. Battle of Stalingrad
    8. Kiew
    9. Pegasus
    10.Raseiniai
    11. Stalingrad Redsquare
    12. Berlin Streets
    13. Karelia
    14. Tunis

You fine with this 14 maps? We can not play more than seven maps each night. So we have to skip the others.

    Quid pro quo!

Please, cut out or replace Kiev and Luzon. These maps are not the best ones imo.

Also huge maps should be played as one of firsts.

Although we played Hokkaido, Kushira and Naichi pretty recently I don't say no to such an event.

But that flyer is a bit too political/xenophobic for my taste. But maybe that's just me.

I agree with eYe. If we wanna gain more players, we should skip the slight racist remarks. However, it's kind of like having a make-fun poster of Hitler (except here it's Tojo), so I am not sure how people will think. Otherwise, great poster!

Yeah, we don't want to get our japanese friends offended. How about replacing that face with Isoroku Yamamoto?

Also 1 more map for Sunday is needed imo

Could we also do a Normandy event? We haven't done something like that in a while. Map list:

    1. Merville Batterie
    2. Gold Beach
    3. Omaha Charlie Sector
    4. Juno Beach
    5. Pegasus
    6. In The Hell Of Bocage

Of coarse, we would do this after the "Battle for Japan" event. What do you think?  smile

It is not good that the flyer for the new event is hidden under other news. We had that before and then have been surprised how bad the event was because so few players joined. I know it is hard to imagine but obviously lots of visitors of our page do not know how to scroll down or they know it and do not do it... So please put the flyer always on top of the mainpage.
