Everybody can post event ideas in this thread.

Our idea of events is to play maps that cover a certain battle or theatre or that are in some kind similar, like the art of warfare (infantry, tanks, navel, etc.).

The event maplist is in correct historical order.

To get an idea how to pic maps for an event have a look at older events http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/3-41-1 or download the maplist here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/4-661-1

The stats say Axis won 11 rounds and Allies 15. Although the problem with the stats is that many rounds with only a handfull of players are also counted. From the layout of the map A day of Zitadelle is not equal for both teams. The Russian access to the battlefield is like a bottleneck so once Axis has taken all flags it is easy to prevent Russians from entering the battlefield. Axis has two main base spawn points that allow the tanks to spread out over a large area which makes it hard for Russians to stop them. I think Kharkow Outskirts would be fairer. Still, I'd like to play Zitadelle just to see what happens, because sometimes it really differs from what one expects...

I can understand that. If enough players vote for it we can try it out.

Kharkov Outskirts is definitely up there for another event.

Nice to see we can still reach the old heights - 53 players last night! smile

On the list created first for Great Battles now remain:
Prokorovka
Kharkow Outskirts
Operation Goodwood
Operation Springawakening

What do you think about creating two more events out of those? Or do you want to play others as well?

Sadly wasn't there yesterday..

I think from that list only Springawakening and Kharkov are good for that kind of match.
And these maps should't be played in the row.

I might want to suggest Ocean Town aswell. However there is always the possibility that one team gets outcapped. So we should have a backup plan for that.

And what about Naichi?

Spurning Fate 1945, the night map from the mappack? Is that your idea? Or did you mix it up with Operation Springawakening, which Marduk and then Xenanab suggested (and I think it would be more appropriate, although I may not be able to play that day).

The horse mixed it up. But it's ok, it's only an animal.
