Post your suggestions for future FHSW versions here, not only vehicles but also game mechanics and effects.

    I would like it if tanks could roll a little bit out of control before exploding when they are knocked out. Its unrealistic for a tank to stop dead in its tracks from getting hit, it should at least keep rolling a little bit if it is already moving forwards before exploding. I dont know if this is possible though.

    Its unbelivable how pigheaded useres allways refuse to take a look what is written in the posts before, and even if the rules are repeated in the first post on every page of the thread and even if pictures on the homepage are displayed from suggestions that dude made and even if there is a list of all the suggestions people made, in every first post of new side, that dude overwhelms this topic with tons of suggestions without any explanations and think from himself he is the coolest FHSW guy of all times, or what pinch ?!
    I wish to see that this rule is administrated : "if anyone post here without obviously didn´t read the rules, this post will be deleted without any comment"

    An idea I had and contrary to a lot of other things it worked almost right away:



    I haven't seen it before in BF1942 although the code behind it is relatively simple. Some think this is already in FHSW but currently all tanks do either full damage or no damage (usually set to around 1000 m which is beyond the "fog of war" on most maps). I think this would be an interesting feature and add another dimension to tank combat. Compared to the sloped armor effect and random ammo (yes I have to mention it again tongue ) it's not based on luck, all depends on you.

    Downsides
    • only 2 different ranges can be set, for example you tell the shell that at 0 to 500 m penetrate 75 mm and 500+ m penetrate 60 mm.
    • couldn't figure out how to get the correct armor collision effect and sound working, e. g. ricochet when it does no damage.


    It requires a lot of grindy work to implement it for every gun in FHSW so I'm not sure if the devs have the will to do it. But as mentioned it's just an idea and didn't take me too long to figure out.

    speaking about barrels overheating, is there a way to make pressing R while using MG42 change the barrel if it gets overheated?

    Northrop P-61 Black Widow - a nimble, fast & heavily armed American airplane.

    Was designed as a dedicated night-fighter, but was also used as a daylight ground attack aircraft
    late in the war in Europe & the pacific. 

    So you could use it for night-time dogfights with the HE219, or the KI-109 and KI-45, or as a general ground attack craft.  

     I want to see it in FHSW because it was bada$$...


    one variant had a dorsal turret with 4x 50 cal machine guns that could be rotated to fire directly forward, to the rear, sides, and above. Plus 4x 20mm cannons in the nose, and could carry either 6x HVAR rockets or 4x 1,000 lb+ bombs, and radar.
    It's sort of like a p38 lightning combined with the turret from the bolton paul defiant biggrin

    I forgot about the Matilda, but that's still only two, as there were many remote controlled vehicles used in the war but only two are represented in FHSW.

    For one of the Battle of the Bulge-based maps the Germans could have a captured Sherman tank. They had been inspecting and occasionally using "Beutepanzer" Shermans throughout the war but they were used in combat most prominently at the Bulge.
